About the Artist

Kobo Yuzuriha is a ceramic studio based in Seto, Aichi Prefecture, one of Japan’s historic ceramic regions. The studio is especially loved for its delicate hand-painted floral designs, often described as soft, painterly, and full of warmth.

Each piece is individually painted by hand, so no two bowls are exactly alike. Yuzuriha’s gentle colors and expressive flowers make their ceramics popular as both everyday pieces and special gifts.

Due to the time and care required for production, Yuzuriha pieces are difficult to restock and often have a long waiting period.

Care

To care for your bowl, rinse it gently with water after use and dry it well with a soft cloth. Please avoid soap or detergent, as traditional chawan are best cared for with simple water cleaning. Make sure the bowl is fully dry before storing it in its wooden box.
